Since our congregation stretches from newborns to 90 year-olds, our ministries have to do the same. Also, the diversity within our neighborhood requires thoughtful attention in order to care for our community in a way that honors Christ.
Our church's worship service begins at 10:50am every Sunday at 12501 Lomas Blvd NE, Albuquerque. The greeters will be happy to meet you, give you some information, and give you a tour of our church building. Musically, you'll find our worship is a blend of older and newer songs. Our pastor's sermons are always steadfastly biblical and relevant for today. So whether you come dressed up or more casual, we'd love to meet you!
During the "even" months our pastor's family hosts a lunch after church for people who have been visiting. It's a great way to ask questions and meet some other people who are new to Monterey. It also happens to be a great opportunity to get to know our pastor and his family. And... lunch!
During the "odd" months we offer a membership class for those who want to take a deeper look at our church, and might be interested in becoming part of our church family. The class is about an hour long and it covers who we are, what we believe, and what does it mean to be a "member." It also provides a good snapshot of what God is doing at Monterey and where we need help.
You aren't really connected at a church until you have relationships within the church. At Monterey, we encourage people to plug-in relationally through Group Bible Studies and by joining a ministry. Most of our groups meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30am (you might find people calling them Sunday School classes), but we have some mid-week groups also.
